We believe everyone should be able to perform quick, accurate financial calculations online. Accessibility is built into every finance tool we ship—mortgages, loans, ROI, payroll, and supporting pages.

WCAG 2.1 AA Alignment

The CalcMastery interface follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, covering perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust principles.

Accessible Form Controls

Each input on our calculators and converters uses descriptive labels, clear error messaging, and keyboard focus states to support assistive technologies.

Continuous Auditing

We combine automated scans with manual reviews and user feedback to catch issues before they impact your workflow.

How We Build Inclusive Tools

Keyboard First

All interactive elements can be reached and activated using the keyboard alone. Logical tab order and visible focus states help users stay oriented.

Assistive Technology Support

Our calculators are tested with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver to verify that labels, instructions, and outputs are announced clearly.

Contrast & Legibility

Typography and color palettes are chosen to exceed contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for larger headlines, supporting comfortable reading.

Clear Messaging

Input instructions, validation errors, and calculation summaries are concise and programmatically tied to the relevant field so that nothing is missed.

Testing Process

  • Automated scans with Axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse on every major template.
  • Manual keyboard walkthroughs for each new or updated calculator.
  • Screen reader spot checks using NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS).
  • User testing sessions with community members who rely on assistive tech.

Supported Browsers & Devices

CalcMastery works on modern browsers with evergreen updates enabled. We QA every release on desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints. The experience is optimized for:

  • Desktop: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari latest two versions
  • iOS: Safari and Chrome on the latest iOS release
  • Android: Chrome and Firefox for Android

Roadmap & Known Limitations

Advanced Charts

Some calculators use visual charts that currently require alternative text summaries. We are developing high-contrast data tables to accompany every chart output.

Target resolution: Q4 2025

Dynamic Currency Symbols

We are auditing live currency switches to ensure screen readers announce the new symbol and locale without requiring a page refresh.

Target resolution: Q1 2026

If you encounter any accessibility barrier that is not listed here, please let us know so we can prioritize a fix.
